Description: Our Authentic Waxed #10 (15oz) Cotton Canvas is strong durable multi-purpose canvas. It is a double filled weave construction making it very strong and resistant to tearing. The refined wax finish provides an additional layer of protection from rain, moisture & time. Waxed canvas has a long lifespan behaving much like leather in the way it patinas and appears ageless. Waxed canvas requires only minimal care to maintain its appearance and can go years without having to be washed. The wax formula is non-toxic and non-hazardous. This advanced formulation performs great in both hot and cold temperatures. Unlike many waxed products our waxed canvas WILL NOT "gunk" up your sewing machine. It sews great! It is very high quality and will not transfer to other surfaces. Waxed Canvas is commonly used to make outdoor gear, backpacks, tote bags, hats, equestrian accessories, vests, dog gear, dog beds, work aprons, and more!

Testing: Fabric should be tested for your specific requirements prior to cutting as no claims are allowed on processed goods.
Ordering: Please make sure to order an adequate amount of fabric to finish your project. Dye lots can vary slightly and an exact match cannot be guaranteed if a follow up order is necessary in the future. Orders less than 10yds will be shipped to you folded. If you are ordering less than 10yds and you would like to have your fabric shipped on a roll you will need to purchase a $10 Core Fee Upgrade.
Washing Instructions: We recommend using a hose to rinse off your waxed canvas. If you need to remove dirty spots or stains simply use a soft scrub brush. For stubborn spots it is okay to use a mild bar soap or saddle soap. It is best to allow fabric to air dry. You will notice that by folding and creasing waxed canvas it creates burnishes or "craze marks" which is a part of the unique character of waxed canvas. A medium heat iron over craft paper or heat from a hair dryer will restore the uniform surface.

Overall nice stuff. Sews well, looks nice, and while I don't mind the smell of traditional waxed canvas, this waxed canvas has no smell whatsoever.
I wasn't sure about a color called "nutmeg," but in real life this canvas looks like wet Carhartts (maybe a shade darker). I like the color as it's neutral enough to be versatile for a lot of projects.
I've built a backpack out of it so far, and #10 seems to be an appropriate weight for that usage.
