First off, I will say that I am VERY pleased with the over-all product. I have very specific and unique needs that call for both sides of the canvas to be dyed with different patterns. This army duck allows for this to be done perfectly with nearly zero bleed-thru of the printing.
What I am pretty frustrated with is that with each batch I order (I order 10 yards each time) I end up losing well over 45" inches in length due to extreme shrinkage. Naturally shrinkage is to be expected with any raw material, however with each cut section (I require each section to measure 66"x55") I must make sure to add at least 12" to the length in order to have the minimum I require. On top of that, the width loses a good 5" to shrinkage, making the width just barely to my required specs. This may seem like a minor gripe but it does get frustrating to essentially buy yardage that vanishes into the ether.
So all in all, I am still a fan and will continue to purchase this product, however I think customers should be prepared for this before pre-cutting and rendering an entire 10 yards useless as I did....

I purchased this material after reading a review on a muzzleloading forum. For accurate shooting we need a 100% cotton, tight weave, consistent thickness material that is very strong. PERFECT! Measuring material thickness for patching is very subjective but I miked this at tight .020" after washing. Very strong and does exactly what I need.

I use this for patching material for blackpowder rifles it measures .020 after washing I'd recommend just soaking in water to remove any sizing works great

From the time I placed my order over the phone to delivery at my house, it was only four days. Could not believe how fast it came.
I dyed the canvas and it took the dye very well, came out a nice brown color for the backpack I am making. Customer service was top notch, very helpful and knowledgeable.

The army duck is super smooth and super strong - beautiful. I wish it came wider than 60". We use it as canvas for paintings when we want a smoother surface to paint on. This company is great too. Thank you!

Sorry, it has taken me so long to write this review but my sewing machine has been in for repairs. I really like the weight of the material, although heavy it is very easy to fold and cut.

I use the army duck as a surface to paint on. It's very strong and smoother than regular canvas duck. The shipment came when expected, the price was great. The army duck itself was perfectly smooth with a tight even weave, no bumps at all. I will get this again.

REPLY FROM BIG DUCK CANVAS:
Tommy, It appears you have ordered the incorrect fabric for your application. This product does not have the water repellent finish/mildew resistant finish required for making boat covers. A finish can be added by the customer but we offer the Sunforger finished goods that are suitable. You can find this in our web store here: http://www.bigduckcanvas.com/categories/canvas-for-tents-tipis-teepees.html

I print on this fabric with my inkjet printer, it's stable and consistent and I appreciate the quality.

Made a great material for my Western-style duster coat. Minimal fraying after washing, and seems very durable, while still being easy to sew.
