Faced with spending $80+ for a cover to keep my telescope protected I decided to try a DIY exercise. Looking on the net I found this product and bought yardage enough to make a cover myself. Using foam and a flannel cloth I sewed the cover for the scope tube and have now a fully covered and protected dobsonian telescope with handle and carrying strap. The marine canvas is perfect outer protection and easy to work with. I'm very happy with the results; just remember to use the right size sewing needles (I broke three small ones till I got size 16 and 18 needles to go thru the three types of material used. From now on Duck Canvas and duck tape will sit side by side in my workshop!! RG
I purchased 15 yards of this fabric to make patio furniture covers. It is a rich color, easy to sew/serge, and very waterproof. I live in Washington State where we get a lot of rain each year. I anticipate these covers to last many years. The customer service at this company is outstanding. I changed my mind after I placed my order, and they made the switch immediately, without any hassle. I will order from these guys again, and I have told several friends about them.
