So, overall, I am pleased I purchased this so far. Upside: nice neutral color, sturdy, good price point. Downside: While it has been preshrunk, there can still be 4% shrinkage, so I was advised to wash it first. Warning: even when cut with pinking shears, it frays in the wash to an extreme!! I cut the basic rectangular pieces I'd need for the slipcover with 2-3 inch margins and washed as is... I had a tangled mess, with strings everywhere. I had to cut the pieces apart, literally, and I hope I have not lost too much to fraying. Dried in dryer as well. I would say there was somewhat more than 4% shrinkage, but I think it's still a good bargain to not have to purchase 20% more for unshrunk cloth. Another downside: nothing can be returned once it is cut. So I had to inspect all 40 yards at once. Do you know what 40 yards of canvas looks like on your floor? It's a lot. And you can't effectively re-roll it. But it was a good reason to start construction right away. All that to say, I called customer service with a question, and they were super helpful. Great company to deal with so far.
Love this fabric-I have used about 300 yards of it, no more prewashing for me! It's soft and durable, perfect for my custom pillow business.
Worked perfectly for my project. Would definitely be this again.
Wonderful quality! Would definatly buy again.
I ordered this fabric and have to say that it is perfect! The fabric was generously cut, no flaws or discoloration, great quality and reasonably priced. Since I could not find pre-shrunk fabric locally - Big Duck Canvas was a superior choice over other online sales. Thank you
I'm so happy with my purchase! Not only is the fabric just what I needed (at a wonderful price!), but when I had a question, I was contacted right away by someone, and received fantastic customer service--not too common these days! :-)
I have been very please with the service I received from Big Duck. My samples arrived very quickly and once I made my decision and ordered the product arrived shortly.
I used the Duck Cloth to cover the cushions on my kitchen booth. As far as how they will hold up...I won't know for a while but they look great. Just in case I need to replace one or more again I certainly would order from you again.
I am currently using this materials to make slipcovers for 2 large living room chairs, and perhaps even the couch. It arrived in a timely fashion. Since this is my first time ordering a large quantity of material, and I'm sure I over estimated how much I'd need, I was amazed that it came in 2 large rolls. Nevertheless, I'm very pleased with the product and will definitely order different colors in the future.
I love this fabric. In my opinion, it is the perfect weight for slipcovers, so easy to work with. I bought it in Natural, and very much like the color, but I was sent a sample of this fabric in the color Driftwood and, it too, is really a nice light neutral shade.
I also appreciate Big Ducks sending me generous sized, full color range samples of another fabric I was interested in free of charge.
