Our 4.5 oz. Muslin Fabric is a lightweight, highly-breathable 100% cotton fabric that is unbelievably versatile. It's widely used for sewing patterns and templates, clothing and apparel, backing for draperies and window coverings, lamp shades, and linings for quilts and bags. This light unbleached cotton material is also a staple in craft projects, baby stroller covers and breastfeeding cover ups. In the kitchen, many find uses for this muslin fabric as teabags, fruit and vegetable storage, even as a strainer for oranges or lemons.
The sheer nature of muslin cloth makes it ideal for educational and professional theater applications too. Muslin fabric can make dramatic, semi-opaque backdrops especially with a little creative backlighting. Add silkscreen printing and the effect can be over the top!
