Our waxed canvas Army Duck 10 oz. is a great water-repellent fabric, and the the Slate (gray) color works well for so many projects.
This canvas is a highly durable, multipurpose material that is woven with a tight, plied yarn weave construction. The weave makes it strong and resistant to tearing, and the wax finish offers an additional layer of protection against rain and moisture intrusion. Everyone loves the fact that with only minimum care, waxed canvas easily maintains its appearance.
Our wax formula is non-toxic and works well in hot and cold temperatures and everywhere in between. When it comes to sewing waxed canvas, our customers have told us "it sews great!" The high-quality wax won't not transfer to other surfaces under normal use.

It's well known that waxed canvas is super popular. If you haven't used this yet, you might be wondering what all the fuss is about. Well, consider the similarities to leather: a very long lifespan, and the way it patinas and wears over time. With use, you'll see create 'craze marks', wrinkles or other little marks. This is part of the highly-desirable and unique characteristics of waxed canvas! You could reduce these marks with a hair dryer, but we say leave it be! Most people want this 'worn' look and the 'character' that waxed canvas develops with regular use. Rugged good looks? Check.
